Pendant Automation Diary – Havre de Grace History

Pendant’s home town, Havre de Grace, Maryland, has an abundance of history for so small a place.  Today, May 3, is the anniversary of the attack by British Marines in 1813 during the War of 1812. You can read more about the attack and one of the local heroes here.

The Concord Point Lighthouse, built in 1827,  is located about 500 yards from Pendant’s headquarters very near to the focal point of the 1813 attack.  You can find a picture of part of the lighthouse right on the Pendant website, where it serves as the backdrop to the bio photo of Matt Curry, another hero of Havre de Grace.  team bios

There’s a lot to like about Havre de Grace.  We welcome you to stop by and see us, and we’ll show you around. You can learn about the wonders of our home town and you’ll see why we choose to be here.

And if you’re lucky, you’ll get several heroes of Havre de Grace working on your conveyor handling project.

Oh, by the way – speaking of history, Pendant Automation turns 13 years old on Sunday, May 5.  Now that we’re entering our teen years, we’ll be extra vigilant about becoming too bratty and knowing everything.  If we happen to fail, don’t worry – it’s only a phase.
